Lassi is one of the drinks I’ve discovered during my last visit in India. It’s a blend of yogurt, water, spices and sometimes, fruit. Mostly served cold, it’s extremely refreshing and can give you a lot of energy for the whole day.
How can you make a healthy vegan version of lassi drink? Recipe below!
What you need
- 1 glass soy yogurt
- 2 tbsp water
- 3 tbsp stevia
- pinch of cardamom powder
- pinch of cinnamon
- couple ice cubes
- pistachios & almonds (finely chopped)
How to make it
- In a blender blend yogurt, water, stevia, cardamom powder and cinnamon until smooth and frothy.
- Add ice cubes while blending.
- Pour in glass and garnish with some sliced pistachios and almonds.
Enjoy it!
This does look easy, and I love lassi’s!
Me too! 🙂
So delicious and fun to make! Love it!
Agreed! 🙂
Love lassi – one of my favourite drinks! It reminds me of Ramadan – we drink this in the morning before we start fasting, because it fills us up and gives energy for the whole day 🙂
I think I saw it on your blog once or twice, Tim :-).
Thanks for reminding me of Lassi, it’s been long time that I made Lassi with lots and lots of thick cream topped on it.
My pleasure! Thick cream on top? Mniam!
My sister first told me about lassis after her trips to India. I still need to try one myself—thanks for sharing your recipe!
I discovered it in Myanmar and Nepal then tried it once again in India :). Really delicious!

Try it and you won’t regret it!! 🙂
yes this is the kind of lassi we make at home in summers all the time..the mango one isn’t really popular back home..I am always surprised at it’s popularity in the western world! This looks perfect!
Really? That’s awesome to hear. I’ll make it more often in summer :-).
I’ve never had a lassi….but it does look great!
