In today’s post I am going to introduce you to one of my favourite baguette ideas for a lunch or dinner – a smoked salmon baguette with garlic sauce. It is easy to make (maximum of 15 minutes), healthy and light.

Ingredients

Baguette:

  • 1 baguette (brown or white)
  • 2 slices of smoked chicken
  • 2 slices of cucumber, tomato and red onion
  • table spoon of olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Garlic sauce:

  • 180 g non-fat yogurt
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • Italian herbs
  • salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Heat oven to 180 C.
  2. Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides of the baguette with the olive oil and bake until golden brown, 4 to 5 minutes per side.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the yogurt, garlic, Italian herbs with salt and pepper.
  4. Once the baguette is nicely baked, put some salmon slices, tomatoes and cucumber with chopped red onion and spread the garlic sauce on the toasted baguette.

Bon apetite!

  1. I LOVE baguettes, and any sandwich on a baguette tastes way fancier than one on plain ol’ sliced bread. This looks fantastic, and you know I love how quick it is to put together, too!

  2. Smoked salmon is so good but I can just imagine how incredible the garlic sauce should be in here. This looks amazing!
