My jar of overnight oats which I soak overnight in almond milk or soy milk. The most common mixture is equal parts raw rolled oats, milk and yogurt (I like 1/3 or 1/2 cup of each). All you need to do is put in the fridge overnight (covered or not, your choice) and let them soak up the liquids. Yummy! Yummy!

 Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 – 1/2 cup milk [depending on how thick you like it]
  • 1/3 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
  • Pinch salt
  • Pinch cinnamon

Preparation

Stir everything together in a bowl. Place in fridge overnight. In the morning top with something crunchy and something with healthy fats – like nut butter or nuts.

What I love about my jar of love is a great variety of fruits and nuts I can use for making it. I add peanut butter to make it more fluffy or frozen strawberries to make it more like ice cream.

Yum! Yum! Bon apetite!

  2. Would you believe I’ve never tried overnight oats?! I really need to change that because I love anything with oats, millet, etc. And I actually have all the ingredients I already need for your recipe in the house! I think I’ll try this tonight for tomorrow’s breakfast – thank you!
